The largest container and large-unit port in the northern Gulf of Bothnia continues to grow
In accordance with the City of Oulu's strategy, Oulu is the logistic center of northern Europe. The Port of Oulu plays an important role in this vision.
New investments have speeded up the Port of Oulu's growth. The port's goal is to exceed an overall traffic volyme of four million tons in the beginning of the next decade.
In 2007 the total volume of traffic at the port was over 3,4 million tonnes. It's a new record in the entire history of the Port of Oulu.
